Chapter 53 Believing Loss as Profit Mistakenly Some people fail to update themselves due to laziness. -Brad Kong In February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War that began in 2014; these Russian are stupid in my opinion. The old dictators are obsessed with the old ideas: getting more land is the most important thing; killing people of the enemy is beneficial to us. Things have changed after World War II: We are in the capital war era now. Getting more land doesn't mean much in the money sense; people do not live merely on agriculture any more except those in poor countries; both countries have more than enough land, anyway. I think it is nonsense for Russia to spend $900 Million a Day to fight for more land. And humans are the most valuable assets nowadays. One human can generate a lot of wealth during his or her lifetime; this means one person can pay a huge amount of tax to the government during its lifetime, too. Spending money to destroy capital assets of another country does not make much gain any more; killing Ukrainian people does not bring Russians much profit; it only brings them a bad reputation. Russians got stuck with this old idea repeatedly: Every human in the world is a soldier and we have to destroy it. As a result, Russia is making more enemies and losing more money than ever before as of 2022. They waste fortune to give a bad impression to the world: They try hard everyday to be singled out and get into the class of poor nations. Putin is the leader making all those brainless decisions: The true enemy of Russia. Idiotic insiders are more dangerous than evil outsiders. He thinks those losses are a profit. This kind of thing happens most frequently when people fail to educate themself; it is important for Russians to stop drinking and start reading. These failures to educate people happen principally due to laziness; Alcohol has provided unnecessarily comfortable lives to comrades. I found a black lady named Jessica when I watched Youtube the other day. This CNBC channel shows that she bought a one-bedroom condo for $44,000 with cash in Detroit, Michigan. I thought it was impressive in the beginning since I have never seen anyone who paid a house less than I did; I paid $60,000 for my one-bedroom condo in 2013. But, soon I learned that she is paying $660 a month for association fees every month. I think it is just too much as I pay $350 a month now. She renovated the place as she planned to live for the rest of her life. Those fees accumulated over time, so the initial condo price was a little bit of bait and does not have much advantage. I think she mistakenly believed the loss was a profit. Another example is the Koreans obsessed with real estate investment in America. The property tax for real estate in Korea is at least ten times cheaper than that of America; it makes sense to invest in real estate only in Korea since carrying costs is much cheaper. Some Koreans in America do not realize that and act as if they are in Korea. They often go for bigger houses no matter what and regret higher tax and bills later.
