[About the Korea Innovation Center (KIC)]
Korea Innovation Center (KIC) is funded by the Korean government on a mission to create a global startup ecosystem throughout its four locations- Washington DC, Silicon Valley, Berlin, and Beijing. We discover and incubate promising Korean technology startups by providing assets such as connections to market enablers and accelerators and training programs. More than 80 Korean startups join our KIC Washington DC center and explore the US market annually. Associate, Assistant Manager, or Manager (depends on work experience)[Core Responsibilities]
-Develop and deliver KIC programs reporting to clearly articulate current status, stakeholder needs, issues, budget, decisions needed across the program and develops materials for Sr. Management
-Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Korean tech startups, government entities, U.S institutions, vendors and mentors to understand their needs, to anticipate obstacles to success, and to solve complex problems
-Identify opportunities where we can do better for our tech startups (business process, training, technology commercialization) to increase KIC’s overall impact
-Escalate issues to ensure program scope/schedule/budget are met[Basic Qualifications]
-Bachelor degree
-Bilingual in English and Korean equivalent to native fluency including reading, writing, and communicating in a business professional environment
-Ability to self-learn, act on own initiative and work in a dynamic environment
-Strong verbal communication and documentation skills
-Excellent Microsoft Office/PC skills
-Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
-Excellent time management, planning and organization skills
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and aptitude to meet deadlines.
-Proactive and tenacious work ethic
-Ability and willingness to travel, as needed[Preferred Qualifications]
-Experience working in a small/ start-up company environment.
-Strong commercial experience and business acumen
-Experience in technology commercialization and consultation to Korean and/or U.S. based start-ups
-Any Certificates of Technology Commercialization and/or Project Management[Salary & Benefits]
