Job Summary
JKosmmune is looking for a talented designer to join our growing team in Rockville, Maryland. We’re looking for a designer who prides him/herself on being a generalist and multi-player who is eager to create and enhance this rising beauty brand.

Job Expectations
• Branding / Package Design
o Develop and create brand elements, design motifs (Illustration, iconography)
o Design box package and label design for cosmetics product
o Design and edit layouts for company introduction presentation (PowerPoint)
o Design print media / promotional items
o Research reference images for annual product photoshoot and art direct

• Web Design
o Design layouts for brand e-commerce website
o Execute confirmed design layouts on Shopify platform using HTML/CSS knowledge or page-builder plugin
o Maintain and update overall looks of the website frequently

• Marketing / Promotional
o Design layouts for weekly newsletter via Mailchimp
o Plan and design contents for Instagram newsfeed
o Execute well-crafted designs for integrated marketing campaigns
o Design educational / promotional contents for Instagram Stories
o Assist photoshoot for social media contents

Who you are:
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent work experience (BA, BS, BFA)
• High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• 2+ years of design experience, ideally for a consumer-facing product
• An outstanding portfolio with an emphasis in the areas of branding, marketing, and web design

Preferred qualifications:
• Above all, you need to be a happy person who’s fun to work with
• A strong ability to communicate the why behind your design decisions
• Solid understanding of technical side of web development including HTML and CSS
• The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work quickly with fast turnaround times
• Demonstrated ability to work on several concurrent projects
• Self-driven problem-solver and question-asker with a positive attitude; Happy to grow outside of your comfort zone

Bonus points:
• Experience managing Shopify e-commerce platform
• Huge plus if you are fluent in Korean (conversational)
