    Construction Consultant (HVAC/Plumbing)

    GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

    We are seeing an experienced Construction Consultant to join our growing team, either on a part-time or full-time basis, to manage construction projects and provide consulting and advice in all areas related to industrial HVAC and plumbing.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Review job estimate and prepare project budgets.
    Estimate and negotiate change orders.
    Identify, vet, and qualify new subcontractors.
    Prepare and review submittals.
    Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs.
    Buyout major equipment and subcontracts.
    Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract.
    Supervise project engineers.
    Direct field personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays.
    Review contract documents, identifying scope of work and any project specific requirements. Formulate project budgets from review of contract documents and estimate packages, accounting for all projected material, equipment, subcontractor, and other costs, organized and separated as necessary for ongoing project tracking.
    Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications.
    Knowledge of HVAC industry standards and building codes.
    Develop and maintain client relationships.
    Responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    · Minimum 15 years in project management in commercial construction
    · Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems
    · Degree in mechanical field, including mechanical or civil engineering
    · Master Plumber License (preferred)
    · Knowledge of commercial estimating programs
    · Knowledge of commercial scheduling programs
    · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Review contract documents and identify scope of work.
    Formulate project budgets.
    Manage mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing systems).
    Manage budget, track project expenses, and take appropriate actions to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget.
    Complete detailed estimates for project-related changes.
    Continuously evaluate job progress and ensure compliance with project milestones and completion dates.
    Adhere to best safety practices and ensure a safe working environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    · 5 to 10 years’ experience in HVAC and plumbing
    · Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    · Knowledge of construction methods and building codes
    · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans and specifications
    · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

    We are seeing a highly organized, motivated Mechanical Engineer Design Engineer to join our growing team and be responsible for the design and development of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Assist the Project Manager in managing major HVAC and plumbing construction projects.
    Responsible for the design and development of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems.
    Responsible for production, review of narratives, drawings, and specifications for all assigned projects.
    Organize and track all project documentation and correspondence, including plans and specifications, submittals, equipment, labor and production tracking, schedule management for field and subcontractors, shop drawing management, inspection documentation, cost engineering, billing processes, RFIs, change orders, assist in equipment start-up, and handle close-out.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    · Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited engineering program
    · 1 to 3 years experience desired
    · Knowledge of HVAC design industry standards and building codes
    · Proficiency in HVAC load estimating software
    · Proficiency in AutoCAD
    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

    LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
