    1. Job Title – Electrical design team lead

    2. General description
    The primary role of Electrical Design Team Lead is a “bridge” between customer and electrical design team, and from concept/business win to production launch/SOP to ensure the successful outcome of the program. And also coordinate a program team/chassis/lighting engineers and electrical engineers to achieve consistency of a product’s performance, functional attributes with its requirement.

    3. Key Roles and Responsibilities
     Quotation and Concept Phase – Support a generating quotation and creating design concept
     Development & Validation Phase – Support to initiate, develop and direct the design of new products, Coach and manage team to follow-Up timing, changes cost information, interface and part availability
     Develop Criteria and Requirements – Support and manage team to develop the requirements (CTS – component technical specification), Coach to develop and apply Lessons Learned
     Develop Engineering Solution
     Support to develop engineering solutions and release final design to production
     Release parts into customer’s system
     Math/Drawing review, sign off, and submission
     Ordering and tracking of part deliveries
     Support and coach to develop and design concept
     Provide technical information and direction to designer/ designing engineer
     Support and manage team to Manage Change Requests and Problem Resolution Tracking
     Support and coach to design of component with customer changes
     Conduct Validation
     Support and manage team to initiate, analyze and revise design if test/ manufacturing/ field problem has
     Support and manage team to develop requirements compliance Summary
     Support and manage team to run vehicle and bench testing and updates when hardware, software, and/or calibrations are made

    Miscellaneous
     Support Manufacturing and Service Engineering
     Support Product
     Support to set up the design environment and tools
     Participate in hiring process
     Conduct yearly evaluations of employees
     Handle employee conflict
     Support training of new employees
     Support yearly budget for department
     Participate in monthly team lead meetings

    4. Job Requirements
     Work Experience – More than 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering (Automotive H/W, S/W, Complex Systems)
     Education – BSEE or related such as BSCE, BSCS
     Knowledge Skills and Abilities
     Ability to understand automotive system in detail and apply those functions to vehicle applications
     Emphasis on team work, good communication skills, readiness to travel on test trips
     Ability to understand hardware/software and development process
