Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:
The BWMS Field Service Engineer will be primarily responsible for completing the work order provided by the Sales Manager. The Field Service Engineer will communicate with the Field Service Coordinator to receive all the schedules and travel arrangements. The Field Service Engineer will also make sure all the work that has been assigned will be complete on time. This position is located at our Houston Office but most of the work will be done onsite.

Travel Requirements:
This position may require travel domestically and internationally to support the company’s goals and objectives. This is expected to be approx 90%.

Job Responsibilities:
Communicate with the Service Manager to receive the work order
Research and prepare all parts that needs to be carried to the worksite
Receive ship’s schedule and travel arrangement from the Field Service Coordinator.
Diagnose the problem upon arrival on work site
Ensure all documentations are submitted in a timely manner after the work has been completed.
Notify the manufacturer of the product and the company CEO of any incidents and prepare an incident report immediately.
Create a continuous dialogue with the Field Service Coordinator, Sales Manager, and other team members on the views/feedback and suggestions.
Always represent Kormarine Services in a positive, professional manner.

Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of previous experience in Shipbuilding or Sailing
• Basic knowledge of the Electric System
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to respond quickly and work in a very fast paced environment
• Able to be flexible in traveling
