    Responsibilities & Duties
    • Identify risks and vulnerabilities of company systems and determine plan of action and mitigate risks
    • Provide oversight and direction to teams responsible for the planning, evaluation, implementation and maintenance of security technologies (e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV, e-mail gateway, SIEM etc
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of security technologies and the network’s architecture.
    • Monitor the implementation and operational effectiveness of existing security technologies, and recommend security technologies and processes that can bolster the SJH security posture.
    • Identify security risks and issues to management and team
    • Participate on Security Risk Assessment team
    • Perform enterprise wide server by server security risk assessment in accordance with HIPAA and Hi Tech Act
    • Assist with implementing and maintaining SQL maintenance plans.
    • Performance tune SQL server databases
    • Monitor SQL Server usage and recommend optimization.

    Education & Experience Requirements:
    • BS in Computer Science or related field experience
    • 5+ years’ experience with SQL
    • Certified network security engineer.
    • CISSP or CISM certification preferred
    • MCSA 2016 Database Administration preferred
    • Intermediate knowledge of Reporting Services 2008
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008
    • Experience with relational database design and SQL server architecture
    • Healthcare (HMO) industry experience preferred
    • Intermediate knowledge of current IT and computer science concepts and methodologies relevant to database design and administration
    • Experience and knowledge of database programming concepts including Structured Query Language, stored procedures, and triggers
    • Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting the interaction between databases, operating systems, and applications particularly in the areas of performance and resource usage
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team member
    • Support, troubleshoot and maintain MS SQL 2008 Enterprise Databases in Network Server Environment. Plan, configure and conduct daily/weekly database backups and periodic recovery
    • Monitor SQL service activity on a proactive basis and make adjustments as necessary to assure tuned performance
    • Maintain error and system maintenance logs and issue reports on a regular basis
    • Create, or support creation of, database SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and other needed database objects in response to departments needs
