    The Materials Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing, organizing, directing and controlling the operations, activities and personnel engaged in the procurement, material planning, warehousing, customer service, and delivery functions of the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements
    • Analyze and control all exported inventory functions including approval of all Purchase Orders, changes inventory items and levels, and eventual surplus of necessary items and ensure that accurate, complete records are kept regarding consumption, cost and selling price.
    • Manage and control all the company’s external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials and finished parts for production.
    • Responsible for the operating budget of the materials management department and the material handling department.
    • Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures necessary to ensure effective execution of material logistics functions
    • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, purchasing and material control
    • Maintain ERP system to allow for efficient and accurate production scheduling
    • Improve in-plant material handling and storage systems
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of products
    • Manage the shipping department for accurate labeling, weigh-count and preparation for shipment
    • Develop and manage the system to ensure accuracy of inventory counts
    • Manage the customer service function to ensure customer orders are accurate and complaints are handles in a timely manner
    • Develop and maintain procedures and documentation required for ISO quality certification and participate in quality audits
    • Participate as a member of the operations staff in making cross-functional operational decisions

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a 4 year college or university or equivalent experience
    • + 5 years of Materials Management experience
    • Bilingual in Korean and English required.
    • Experience implementing ERP software used in a production environment
    • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
    • Proficient in Word and Excel
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
