POSITION OVERVIEW
The Jr. HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and employment law compliance.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides guidance on tactical interpretation of policies and procedures
• Performs benefits administration to include change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees
• Conducts recruitment of exempt and non-exempt personnel and temporary employees; conduct new hire screening, background checks
• Oversee, administer and process all aspects of payroll and compensation
• Process required insurance documents thru payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions
• Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from database
• Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
• Coordinates employee recognition program and events
• Other projects and duties as assigned by the Human Resources ManagerSKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited 4-year University in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of generalist experience managing the HR function in a medium to large corporation
• Payroll experience with ADP a plus
• Current Human Resources certification strongly preferred
• Must possess good computer, written and oral communication skills
