    Junior Software Engineer

    Job Description:
    A program in the Special Projects (SP) sub-mission area of the Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM) business area is enhancing the mission scheduling and command and control system for a satellite ground station in parallel with operations and sustainment support activities.
    This Software Engineer is responsible to
    Ø develop code in compliance with requirements and defined architecture
    Ø support discrepancy report (DR) work-off
    Ø support Test Engineering for integration and test activities and events
    Ø participate in Discrepancy Report Review Board (DRRB), as needed
    Ø occasionally, provide support to operations (remotely and on-site), and
    Ø occasionally, provide input to cost estimation efforts for MCRs, ECPs, and proposals.
    This position reports to the SW Lead for the program.
    Based on experience this position may be hired as a Junior Software Engineer or Software Engineer.
    Required Skills:
    · Must currently hold an active TS/SCI, SSBI security clearance
    · 2+ years software engineering experience
    · 2+ years of C++ experience
    Desired Skills:
    · Knowledge and/or experience with command and control
    · Java knowledge/experience
    · Knowledge of system integration and system test
    · Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
    · Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
    · Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
    · Engineering experience on a government software development contract
    · Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
