Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for preparing most efficient mechanical design for power transformers and core clamps in compliance with customer’s requirements, technical specifications and standards. A strong technical knowledge in design and manufacturing is required. Able to work efficiently on projects to meet the specifications of customer demands.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare mechanical design of transformer tanks and clamps according to customer’s requirements and technical specifications using 3D software.
• Research for new materials and suppliers to improve company’s products
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEM) for mechanical parts and systems.
• Generate manufacturing drawings.
• Produce Bill of Materials for Tank, Cover and Final Assembly.
• Assist production during tank/clamp manufacturing and final assembly activities.
• Identify and clarify customer requirements when required.Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• More than 2 years of experience in mechanical design. Power transformer experience is preferred
• A good technical understanding of Electrical Power Equipment (Transformer)
• Good verbal/ written communication skills are required.
• Ability to effectively respond to an interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to read mechanical schematic blueprints as necessary, and project scheduling.
• Familiar with all current health and safety regulations is a must.
• Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office suite, AutoCAD and NX 3D Modeling.Benefits:
