TITLE: Program Manager – Automotive Powertrain
JOB LOCATION: Pontiac, Michigan
POSITION TYPE: Full-time/Regular

Our client company is located in Pontiac, Michigan and manufactures industrial machinery. This organization primarily operates in the Assembly Machines, Including Robotic business / industry within the Industrial and Commercial Machinery and Computer Equipment sector.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Program Manager will be responsible for developing a machine build company in and near Southeastern Michigan, which includes developing local support through our client and engineering support. The Program manager will also organize, coordinate and execute all aspects of the machine build including program schedule, budget, managing supplier relations along with supervising run off, tear down, packing and transportation of the lines to customer facilities. Act as the liaison between the Parent company in Korea, its current US customer and US Suppliers, along with developing new business. The position calls for strong work ethic, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with all levels of internal and external management and staff, as well as outside clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Program Management
– Aid in the development of our Company in and around southeastern Michigan, along with developing local support with
companies and engineers.
– Create schedule and budget for program execution.
– Ensure the program is following the company build and run off schedule and delivery of product will be made at customer
contract date.
– Report program status to management to include budget status, customer satisfaction and program status.
– Create RFQ for Machine and Controls Supplier quote
– Ongoing communication with the Parent company’s engineers in Korea.
– Management of all aspects during the Run off phase of project, including Customer Meetings, Run Off, Teardown, Packaging,
Transportation of Assembly line
– Offer support to customer during run off phase, with open issue list and tracking.

• Supplier Management
– Requesting and receiving quotes from suppliers along with following through with the purchase requests to the company’s
Purchasing Manager
– Managing supplier delivery schedule, ensuring quality and safety with supplies.

EDUCATION:
• BS degree, Engineering degree preferred or related field, from a 4-year college or university; or 3+ years of related
experience

EXPERIENCE:
• Must have proven Program Management experience, 5+ years
• Good knowledge of automotive industry, preferred experience with Ford, General Motors or FCA.

• Superior oral and written communication skills and a focus on client service, together with the ability to exercise
independent judgment and initiative while maintaining high confidentiality.

TRAVEL AND HOURS:
• This is a non-exempt position that may require some overtime during the workweek.
• Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Pontiac area or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity.
• Ability to travel domestically and abroad (~50%)
