Position: Restaurant Startup Operations Assistant

Waffle Bite is a restaurant startup that specializes in Authentic Belgian Waffles. We will be launching our new business this year with a roll out plan for a minimum of 5 new stores in 2016. Thus, we are seeking a highly self-motivated individual to play a key role in the company’s launch. The Operations Assistant reports directly to the CEO and has amazing growth potential. This is a very unique opportunity to join a quickly growing restaurant startup on the ground floor.

Preference: Bi-Lingual, Fluent in English, Fluent in Korean

Responsibilities
• The position will require you to work on all aspects of the business and be flexible with your daily responsibilities
• We are looking for someone who is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• This is a position that is directly involved in the day to day operations of our business

Qualifications
• Effective communication is key. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Creativity. The challenges you face when growing a business from scratch are massive and constant. Aiding in our expansion efforts, you will need the creativity to solve those problems; to influence partners we work with, to come up with new ideas and ensure a successful launch.
• Track-record of getting things done. Drive, ownership, and execution are central to this role. We are looking for someone who prioritizes their day, and then gets things done. You should be able to point to multiple examples from the past which clearly demonstrate this.
• Must be passionate about food.
• Ability to work independently and self motivate.
• Multi-unit retail operations experience is preferred.

Position Requirements
• Own method of transportation between locations
• Flexible to travel (mostly in the greater Los Angeles area)
• Available after-hours for shop emergencies
• Availability to work full time days and evenings, including weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
