    Company Overview:

    Our client company is an Asset Based Trucking Company and Logistics Firm servicing North America. It is located in Bolingbrook, IL and provides third-party logistics (3PL) service to LG.

    The position is responsible for routing and coordinating pickups and deliveries while ensuring that all requirements for on-time pickup, on-time delivery, on-going communication, up-to-date order status, problem solving, and getting documents like invoices, PODs.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    – Schedule and/or reschedule pick-up and delivery appointments with carriers and customers according to requests from account management personnel.
    – Work with distribution centers, load planners, and MC Logistics Operation to optimize customer service.
    – Monitor and communicate with carriers to ensure that scheduled trucks arrive on time for pickup and delivery as requested.
    – Inspect trailers upon truck’s arrival at the warehouse to make sure the trailer meet the company’s requirements and keep the inspection log.
    – Create and process BOL’s with carrier’s drivers and placing C-TPAT seals on the trailers before departure (TMS, WMS systems).
    – Track and trace carrier and shipment via their websites or tracking devices.
    – Resolve any pickup or delivery time issues with load planners and transportation partners
    – Analyze and report pre-defined traffic data to management using TMS, WMS, and MS Access database; including minute to minute updates.
    – Maintain carrier and tariff profile information on a timely basis.
    – Other duties as required and assigned.

    Qualifications:

    – College Degree or BA is preferred.
    – Proficiency in MS Office applications, esp. MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is preferred.
    – Experience with transportation data analysis, ability to put together reports and PP presentations.
    – Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training in Transportation or Logistics.
    – General understanding or knowledge of the transportation industry.
    – Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with carriers and customers.
    – Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to achieve team goals and complete assignments within established deadlines.
    – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    – Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
    – Need to work overtime according to early/late pickup and delivery schedule.
