The Director’s primary responsibility is to manage existing retail and distributor accounts as well as acquire new accounts and business for our products through established relationships with buyers and general knowledge of the consumer electronics channel. The Director will also be tasked with growing the Samsung Security business with telecommunications companies including wireless carriers (i.e. Verizon, AT&T, etc) , cable MSOs (i.e. Comcast, Time Warner, etc) as well as alarm companies (i.e. ADT, Slomins, etc) with the objective of having Samsung security products as part of the security offerings of these companies. It will be the responsibility of the Director to maintain and grow the business. This includes having an understanding of promotions, in-store marketing, online marketing, as well as increasing shelf space. Having complete responsibility for his/her accounts, the Director will manage forecasting, supply chain, marketing and relationship management. The Director will work with the entire B to C team including product management, supply chain and marketing and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.Requirements:
-10-15 years sales experience in the consumer electronics category.
-Experience in the telecommunications, cable industry or IP space a plus.-Experience in selling advanced consumer electronics technology products directly to buyers at both brick and mortar and online retailers.-Experience in presenting and explaining technology products to buyers.-Complete understanding of distribution channels in the consumer electronics space.-Participate in sales activities such as trainings, vendor shows, & industry events.– Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with channel sales teams.– Travel up to 40%.
