    Purpose:

     

    ·         In this role, the Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) Field Application Engineer (FAE) for the Americas region will be responsible for providing local technical support to customers and peers to support achieving the sales budgets for the region. 

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    ·         Develop close relationships across customer organizations including senior technical management

    ·         Influence customer product requirements around SDI’s capabilities by developing strong value propositions based on customer needs and SDI’s strengths.

    ·         Support the development of responsive proposal, and actively participate in negotiating contracts favorable to SDI.

    ·         Address technical issues locally during the project installation and on-going service support.

    ·         Establish influential relationships with key partners including regulators, and standards organizations.

    ·         Actively participate in key industry organizations and identify new opportunities through presentations, papers and committee membership.

    ·         Identify and develop new applications for large format lithium ion battery modules, trays & racks.

    ·         Identify and promote new product development to meet the current and future needs of energy storage customers.

    ·         Coordinate with business teams in distributed locations with particular emphasis on the headquarter based technical and commercial teams in Korea.

    ·         Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid and high growth environment.

     

    Required qualifications:

    ·         English and Korean written and verbal communication abilities

    ·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

    ·         Minimum 5 years technical experience in related industries including mobile consumer electronics, energy storage, or other battery intensive industry.

    ·         Full proficiency in Microsoft Office include Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

    ·         Exceptional relationship skills are required; must be able to establish and grow relationships with primary and executive-level contacts.

    ·         Outstanding verbal and written communication and influence skills with customers

    ·         Demonstrated focus on quality and customer service.

    ·         Self starter with strong technical, analytic and problem solving skills.

    ·         Traveling from 25-50%.

    ·         Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

    ·         Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification and background check.

    Preferred qualifications:       

    ·         Chemical or Electrical Engineering Degree

    ·         Advanced Engineering Degree

    ·         Previous battery technical

    ·         Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with a high integrity and creativity
