• Summary
1. Install, configure, backup and manage network hardware and software for the Client office(Ann Arbor, Irvine, Chino, California proving Ground, Menlo Park) location.
2. Lead in planning and updating existing hardware and software.
3. Monitor fixed assets and maintain the inventory of existing equipment and software.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
1. Configuration and set up of network equipment – switches, routers, gateways, Phone, firewalls, etc.
2. Manage and maintain Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone system – call manager and Unity Voice Mail.
3. Trouble shooting and fix for Network troubles and security issues.
4. Conduct system and software testing and evaluation for future deployments.
5. Create and present technical reports as assigned.
6. Perform administrative functions such as purchasing requests, timecard, vacation requests, travel requests, etc.
7. Perform additional network related projects as assigned.
Travel up to 20% of time.

• Managerial Responsibilities (If Applicable
1. Provide expert advice without formal supervisory responsibility

• Qualifications and Requirements
1. Knowledge of Cisco Equipment and Protocols: Cisco appliance programming (IOS), configuration and maintenance.
2. Knowledge of Network Security Protocols: Intrusion Prevention, Network Access Control, 802.1x, Worm and Virus control, and other systems.
3. Knowledge of end user applications: MS Office, MS Visio,AD Tools, Hyper terminal, Exchange tools, GPO Tools and other specialized software as required
4. Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing business requirements.
5. Flexible, organized and able to work effectively with all levels of employees
6. Cisco Certifications (CCNA,other ) preferred

• Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
2. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE, optional)
3. More than 6 years technical IT experience including network hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, debugging, security, maintenance and repair in a technical environment
4. Experience working in culturally diverse team environment

• Physical Demands and Work Environment
Office and Server Room Environment – may have to lift equipment up to 180 lbs. to desktop or overhead position, crawl into tight spaces under desks in race floor under server room, or climb ladders to install wiring in ceilings
