Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required. A masters degree is desirable
• Must be a high-energy leader with excellent business sense
• Must have vision of where the industry is going and how to capture work
• Must have well-developed sales, operations and financial management skills
• Goal setter – focuses on resolving critical management issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong presence and presentation skills
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• A proven track record of successful business development and project management required
• Must be capable of managing multiple projects including multiple disciplines and completing diverse project tasks
• Must obtain a negative result on required drug testing
• A professional license is required
• Candidates must be willing to travel internationally
Position Summary
Performance Objectives
The Engineers for Samsung will be responsible for developing and managing market sector engineering, management activities in the Americas and Pacific Rim countries. This position provides leadership market sector activities associated with core company business lines. The successful candidate will leverage their innate ability to be well organized, multi-task and strong understanding of engineering and construction management.
• Develops a consensus on the future direction of the Technology and strategies for achieving it
• Takes responsibility for the overall quality of work performed under the Technology
• Maintains and enhances personal technical skills in the Technology
• Actively tracks, leads and/or participates in major project pursuits and in enhancing client relations
• Maintains regular and close communications with operations management across the firm
• Distributes Technology-related design and state-of the-practice research information and other information to key staff across firm
• Actively participates in leadership positions in nationally recognized professional organizations
• Forms and directs Technology-related steering and task committees
• Maintains relevant technical skills and applies them to client’s needs through chargeable project management and consulting services
• Coordinates effective resource utilization throughout the region and encourage staff interaction and exchanges
