PHP Developer (Front and Back Ends for each position)

Our client company is looking for a PHP Developer to develop, maintain, and implement new and existing websites This role will be located here at our development headquarters in Libertyville in Illinois.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop web applications using PHP, HTML, DHTML/JavaScript, JSON, XML, CSS, AJAX, eMail, and MySQL.
• Design and develop complex SQL queries and database development (with a focus on MySQL).
• Design and implement database-driven reports.
• Code, integrate, test, debug, and refine the software to produce the required product.
• Design software tools and subsystems to support software development, test and reuse, and manages their implementation.
• Create, execute and support Unit Tests and Acceptance Tests.
• Create structured, self-documenting and maintainable code.
• Work with Linux servers running Apache web servers.
• Enhance existing software to reduce operating time and to improve efficiency and performance.
• Develop system architecture and design including software, hardware, communications and interface requirements.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate interface documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures.
• Conduct analysis to define, analyze and allocate requirements.
• Prepare program-level documentation.

Qualifications

Knowledge skills required:

• Must have proficient skills and experience with PHP, HTML, JSON, XML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and MySQL.
• Proficient skills using Internet collaboration tools, such as instant messaging, remote desktop, SVN, and SourceForge/TeamForge.
• Proficient with various Linux environments and Open Source software development tools.
• Must be experienced with PHP and familiar with web development.
• Ability to provide technical direction to assigned project teams and perform as a technical expert and a source of information.
• Use professional concepts and applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
• Demonstrated experience providing identifiable contributions to the success of a specific product/project.
• Develop solutions to clearly defined problems of moderate to diverse scope. Analysis involves selecting the best alternative method or process from among several existing alternatives, or based on evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Use expertise, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Education Experience requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 plus years’ of software development experience or an equivalent combination of IFE systems/engineering experience combined.

Nice to have, but not required:

• Amazon Web Services / Webstore experience
