Position Description:
Finite Element Analysis of various automotive components.
BSME or equivalent degree
3 years minimum experience
a) 2D and 3D mesh creation with Complete Abaqus Environment (CAE) or Hyper Mesh (mesh control)
b) ABAQUS linear and nonlinear structural analysis (applying: bolt pre-loads, concentrated forces, and fluid pressure onto surfaces, modify boundary conditions, etc.)
c) ABAQUS dynamic analysis (modal analysis, forced dynamic)
d) Post-process results (analyzing: stress distribution, displacement, modal shapes)
 
Preferable but not-required:
a) Sub-modeling-Experience with Solid Works CAD software would be a plus
b) Ability to modify existing 3-D models of parts and assemblies for FEA analysis-1 year experience n-Code
c) Damage/Life predictions based on test data / FEA results
