    General Summary:

    Responsible for all purchasing activities relating to cost, quality and service for Maintenance, Repair and Operating products, services and program management for VAATZ system, including but not limited to: assisting in the execution of overall vision of the MRO Purchasing Group; training and mentoring junior members of the purchasing staff; and working with senior members for the Purchasing Departments to develop and implement cost planning strategy.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to accountabilities below):

    •Provide guidance and share best practices (experiences) with junior purchasing staff
    •Implement policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and professional operation consistent with corporate vision
    •Select, develop and manage supply base for MRO products and services by:
    Preparing RFQs for user department requirements
    Negotiating spot purchases and long term agreements
    Maintaining competitive pricing
    Leading yearly cost reductions activities
    Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance
    •Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy
    •Work closely with supplier to optimize supplier processes
    •Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing activities
    •Plan, organize, track and disseminate information related to MRO suppliers
    •Participate in purchasing related internal meetings, including making presentations to senior management
    •Maintain up to date supply base information database
    •Managing purchasing software program (VAATZ) as a window to the Head Office

    QUALIFICATIONS and JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience,
    Competencies):

    •Bachelor Degree in Business discipline, along with five (5) – eight (8) years of progressive MRO / Indirect Purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    •Masters Degree a plus
    •Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills a must
    •Long-term planning and strategy development
    •Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others required

    SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    •In depth knowledge of supply chain and accounting processes and practices is required
    •Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation preferred
    •Bilingual (Korean/English)
