Contribute your expertise as a LOCALIZATION SPECIALIST.

The Localization Specialist will provide translation and localization services for the Game Planning & Design Department. He/she will translate and localize in-game text, media content as well as all supporting web and technical material pertaining to the games serviced by Nexon America and provide simultaneous interpretations/translations in support of corporate communications between the U.S. and Korea offices, including but not limited to video conferences, conference calls, and email communications.
All data is expected to be translated from English to Korean or vice versa in a professional, publish-ready format.

Responsibilities:
Provide translation and localization support for the Game Planning & Design team.
Translate/localize in-game text to reflect current and local trends and language, especially in the context of video games, comics and pop culture in general.
Ensure that all materials/data being translated and reported are kept confidential and archived with appropriate levels of security clearance for internal or external releases. A procedural clearance system shall be set up.
Set work draft and completion schedule in accordance with internal project deadlines.
Set up “Glossary” for translated words unique to the game industry for new staff training purposes, listing/describing websites for internal use.
Translate any special web events for media when necessary.
Stay abreast of company’s catalogue of games via direct contact with the games, with an eye toward continuously improving the quality of the translated / localized game content.

Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in error-free professional translation from English to Korean and vice versa, preferably for the game industry
Native level fluency in spoken and written English and Korean required
BA in English, Media Communication, Marketing or Public Relations a plus
Excellent written communication skills
Diplomacy/people skills a must
Must be willing to work additional hours as necessary
Detail oriented, positive, result-oriented, and disciplined
Game user, high levels of interest / experience in games, a plus
Interest in comics, graphic novels and movies, a plus
Sensitivity and discretion in maintaining confidentiality of all translated materials including game content and corporate information
Supportive attitude and a team-player
Excellent time-management skills
