    I wanted to contact and network with you on a contract position for a Civil Structure Engineer for Fuel Cell Energy (location: Danbury , CT ). We are looking for someone with 10 – 15 years of experience, with STAAD and structural analysis experience – someone who can develop and review civil/structural drawings and is familiar with all of the applicable Civil Engineering codes.

    PRIMARY CONTRACT JOB FUNCTION:
    Provide engineering and design support to the civil design of packaged fuel cell power plants.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    ·
    Education: BS in Civil Engineering
    ·
    Experience: 10 – 15 years (but no more than 15 years) experience in civil design of equipment
    ·
    Installations. Familiarity with national building codes and structural codes (AISC, ACI) and structural details desired.
    Special knowledge, skills or certification:
    PE registration is a plus
    ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    ·
    Develop and optimize commercial fuel cell power plant civil designs.
    ·
    Coordinate and review geo-technical studies.
    ·
    Review and develop equipment foundation designs.
    ·
    Review or develop structural steel designs for equipment modules or pipe supports.
    ·
    Prepare bid documents and review bid documents prepared by contractors, review bid submittals.
