CAST is a non-profit research and development organization that has earned international recognition for its development of innovative, technology-based educational resources and strategies.

Job Description: CAST is seeking a software developer to help create Web-based, multimedia educational research prototypes and products. If you are a skilled developer who wants to work in a small, collaborative team of scientists, teachers, and programmers on projects that push the boundaries of educational research, practice, and technology, then we would like to talk to you.

Qualifications: This position requires experience with Java, XML, XSLT, Dynamic HTML/AJAX, and Javascript. Experience with several of the following is preferred: Apache Cocoon, Hibernate, SQL, CSS, PHP, and Flash. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to build applications with usability and universal accessibility in mind.

Key skills for developers include flexibility, fast learning, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Interest and experience in the educational and/or research fields would be very helpful.
