Writes accurate, conversational and understandable news copy
Works independently, crafting stories and showing solid news judgment and insight in his/her interpretation of events
Other responsibilities as determined or assigned

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
A strong belief in local coverage
Reporting, research, interviewing and writing skills
Knowledge of AP style
Excellent writing and communications skills
Valid driver’s license
