Mechanical Engineer (MEMS Expert)

The successful candidate will analyze, design, and build the mechanical
aspects of MEMS-based modules for an emerging flat panel display technology.
The successful candidate will be a project-level technical point of contact
with domestic and offshore suppliers of optical lenses, ACF, metal brackets,
plastic frames, and specialty adhesives. The engineer will demonstrate
exceptional abilities in building successful relationships with suppliers,
and will possess superior communication skills to effectively discuss
technical design details with both internal and external customers.

Must have experience in mechanical design, with a considerable focus on
using modeling tools to create, detail, and edit part and assembly
geometries and associated drawings. The candidate must have experience with
display module development, including outline and mounting constraints,
supporting frames, light guides, interconnects, FPC, COG, COF, and dust
seals. Thorough understanding of disciplined configuration management
practices is required. Working knowledge of both 3-D CAD design and
multiphysics modeling is considered a plus. Candidates must work within a
multi-disciplinary development team to solve complex technical problems.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
