Job Description:
Set up company wide IT policy and manage IT Department appropriate for on-line game publishing company. IT Manager shall setup, maintain, configure all servers and workstations, set up security, train, oversee and evaluate IT staff, manage mail, security monitoring and testing, network load balancing and clustering, backup, communicate with other offices, research and test best practices, analyze and provide monthly and quarterly reports including budget forecast, set up vendor resources with cost analyses and industry accepted testing methodologies, set up emergency and control backup system, write training manuals.Major Responsibilities:
Set up IT policies and identify and assign IT System Engineering duties appropriate for the operation of online games.
Assist the Build-out Team who will configure and build the initial server set up.
Communicate with other IT teams in Korea and/or other countries to coordinate the IT Department, researching and updating best practices, including setting up IT Policies, Security System, and management.
Train and supervise IT department staff, including writing performance evaluation
Provide updated status reports weekly, and comprehensive quarterly reports to management with forecasts and analyses of any technical issues, costs, needs, etc.
Administer and repair any Game Servers, as well as any other back support IT equipment.
Research and prepare IT Recommendation for Budget, Vendors, Equipment, etc.
Manage, maintain and repair all work stations and computers including placing timely orders, forecast any upcoming servicing schedules and costs, if any
Plan, design, and test all updates, following industry tested and recommended protocols.
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures and Training Manual, working with other departments.
Build a secure environment with the server infrastructure, office computers for employees, and set up a system for Security Alert Notices as necessary.
Train and communicate IT issues and policies for other departmental managers.
Build a system monitoring infrastructure and set up emergency backup system, emergency staffing system, on-call duty schedule.Job Requirements:
7 to 10 years of experience as System Engineer, 5 years in management capacity
Thorough knowledge of networking, security system set up, hardware/software configuration
Project management experience with system management, database management, exchange servers, Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Dell Servers, HP, Network protocols/applications, directory setup, troubleshoot and repair
Highly organized, able to multi-task with ability to meet deadlines
Able to work with multi-cultural ethnicity
BS Degree in Computer related field
Excellent communication skills, computer skills, and diplomacy/people skills a must
Willingness to travel and work additional hours
Positive, result-oriented, disciplined person who is a team leader
