What do you think the chance to be in Finance would be?

    I am a CPA and work for a company (listed insurance) now.
    Total work experience is 7 years.
    My age is 40.

    Status is Permanent Resident.

    Thinking about studying in master of finance.

    Just wonder if I can get into the finance field (investment banking) after finishing the finance degree with my spec.

    Any opinon would be highly appreciated.

      I heard that there is some sort of age limit is existed in investment banking.
      It is very high stress job(also requires lots commitment), and most entry level associates position starts around late 20’s or early 30’s.
      Thus, your age is little old for investment banking.

      투자 은행으로 들어가는 경로는 그리 많지가 않습니다. 명문 학부 졸업 후 바로 애널리스트로 들어가는 경우와, 명문대 (탑 15) 석사 (거의 MBA) 졸업 후 어소시엣으로 들어가는 경우가 주를 이룹니다. 따라서 애널리스트일 경우 이십대 초반, 어소시엣일 경우 이십대 중,후반 입니다. 업무 강도와 스트레스가 상상을 초월하기 때문에 엄청난 체력과 정신력이 요구되며, vp 정도가 될때까지는 거의 가정생활을 포기해야 합니다. 40이면 좀 늦지 않았나 싶네요.
