It all depends on your interest and background.
MBA is all about general mgmt regardless of your concentration. You can’t expect to be a specialist after the graduation.
You can be a quant specialist with MS degree in fin engineering / fin math…. I think programming skill is a huge advantage in terms of job security, and potential to set up your own business — so I wouldn’t mind doing programming in my daily works.
Long story short, I would suggest that you should go for MBA if you don’t like math and programming. There’s no way to be successful in quant finance field without knowing those two (while those two are not everything either)…
It may be a little harder to find a job with MBA degree especially as an international, but once you get in, upside potential is much better in many cases.>I have some questions about Investment Banking.
