A beautiful and clean community benefits everybody living or working in a city.
For the past 26 years, the non-profit organization Keep Houston Beautiful has encouraged individuals and organizations to take responsibility for cleaning and beautifying the city of Houston. As a law firm with offices in Houston, we at Zhang & Associates believe it is our responsibility to contribute to this endeavor. Therefore, we are participating in Keep Houston Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Block program.
The Adopt-A-Block program is an important part of Keep Houston Beautiful’s efforts to beautify and enhance Houston’s environment. In this program, participating organizations or individuals adopt a minimum of 500 yards of an incorporated City of Houston street. They volunteer to pick up trash from that street at least four times a year for a two-year period. Participating organizations also donate to Keep Houston Beautiful in order to support other beautification efforts.
Following the good example of Metro Bank, which has adopted neighboring blocks, Zhang & Associates has adopted the portion of Bellaire Boulevard between Corporate Drive and Ranchester Drive in Houston. These street blocks are at the heart of Houston’s Chinatown. Our adoption of these blocks is part of our effort to give back the communities that support our business.
For the next two years, Zhang & Associates’ attorneys and supporting staff will pick up trash to make these blocks cleaner—so don’t be surprised if you see us picking up litter on the streets of Houston! We are proud to be able to give back to our local community in a small way by making Houston a cleaner and more beautiful place. We hope that even our small efforts will help make a difference.
