Since a substantial number of applicants plan to submit I-485 petitions in July, it has become difficult in some places to obtain appointments with authorized physicians for I-485 medical examinations. Some have asked whether they can submit an I-485 petition package without the medical examination report, and submit the medical examination report later. According to AILA, USCIS has refused to accept the package without the medical examination. An I-485 petition without the medical examination in the initial package might be denied.
