    The Hyundai Ideal Electric Company (HIEC) <www.hyundaiideal.com> is a mid-size custom manufacturer of industrial motors and generators located in Mansfield, OH. The business unit operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), a $22B Korean company.     The ideal candidate will have 2 – 3 years of experience working in a US Plant of a Korean Manufacturer as a Quality Engineer.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Bi Lingual Quality Systems Engineer (QSE) of Hyundai Ideal Electric Co. is responsible for managing the activities and processes necessary to assure that the Company can attain and maintain certifications necessary to participate in any market that it chooses. Establishes and implements the procedures and instructions for maintaining and continuously improving the quality management system requirements. Determines and implements quality requirements based on current regulations and standards. Organize and promote company-wide quality improvement efforts. Act as conduit for information sharing between Corporate and Business Unit operations.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

    Monitor and administer the company Quality Management System.
    Monitor and administer 3rd Party Certifications required by the Oil and Gas Industry
    Releasing the B.O.M. for units requiring Oil and Gas Industry 3rd Party Certifications.
    Attend all kick-off meetings that pertain to units requiring Oil and Gas Industry 3rd Party Certifications.
    Monitor and assist the 3rd party auditor(s) in the performance of all ISO Certification and surveillance audits.
    Administer the Customer Complaint, Corrective Action and Preventive Action programs.
    Act as Lead Auditor for all internal audits. Train all internal auditors and schedule all audits to be performed during the fiscal year.
    Conduct supplier audits/reviews for inclusion on the Approved Supplier List. Assist Purchasing with scheduling and maintenance of the Supplier Audit Program.
    Maintain the SDR Log for all current suppliers.
    Functions as the Quality Representative for all Quality System Management Review meetings.
    Functions as the Quality Assurance Manager when the incumbent is absent.

    EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of Bachelors Degree in a technical industrial discipline or equivalent work experience.
    Fluent in both Korean and English, easily understood by those who speak only Korean or English.
    Able to read design prints, specifications, and drafting symbols in both Korean and English.
    Operation of Korean and English word processors to be able to generate reports in either language.
    Experience with various manufacturing certification systems i.e. ISO, ATEX, UL, TS, etc.
    Previous experience with quality, inspection, and supplier certification systems.
    Working knowledge of applicable specifications and standards applying to product and services.
    Able to read text and blueprints as well as drafting symbols and geometric tolerance symbols.
    Demonstrate excellent inter-personal, group participation, and group management skills.
    Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
    Licensed to drive a car and able to travel by airplane.
    Able to climb scaffolding, ladders, or several flights of stairs.
    Conducts self in a professional and business-like manner.
    Prior supervisory and / or project management experience.
    Computer literate; expertise in Microsoft Office and ERP database programs.
